PBS GROUP statement on alleged involvement of its engine in the Kyiv attack
On 28 August 2025, PBS GROUP issued a press release strongly rejecting claims that its PBS TJ 40-G2 engine was used in the attack on Kyiv.
Based on the published photograph, the company unequivocally rules out that the engine shown could be a product of its subsidiary PBS Velká Bíteš. According to the official statement, the engine in the picture differs in technical parameters, construction details of the joints, and additionally contains a pump from Bosch, a company with which PBS GROUP does not cooperate.
PBS GROUP emphasizes that the export of its products is subject to strict oversight by Czech state authorities and is carried out exclusively to verified customers, in full compliance with applicable legislation and international commitments. Since 2014, the group has strictly observed EU sanctions concerning the export of military material and dual-use goods to Russia.
Beyond its legal obligations, PBS GROUP regularly audits its business partners, monitors customs transactions through the Datlab system, and immediately addresses any discrepancies. The company is ready to provide full cooperation to the Ukrainian side in identifying the recovered engine and to demonstrate that it is not its product. PBS GROUP reaffirms its firm support for Ukraine.
