About the company
Established in 1997, the Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic (AOBP) is a non-governmental, independent, non-political, non-profit organisation representing corporate bodies engaged in the research, development, production, distribution, and support services of military and security equipment and infrastructure. AOBP serves as the official representative of the Czech defence and security industry. It maintains cooperation agreements with key ministries — including Defence, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, and Interior — which strengthens its role in negotiations with both national and international partners. The Association actively protects and promotes the business interests of its members through regular dialogue with the Parliament, Government, and relevant state and international institutions. One of AOBP’s core missions is to connect Czech and foreign businesses and enhance the export capabilities of its members. It also offers a wide range of business, economic, and professional consulting services. The Association supports domestic producers in participating in tenders for the Czech Armed Forces and works to ensure the involvement of Czech industry in the procurement of foreign military systems, particularly in key technologies. Furthermore, AOBP coordinates and supports research, development, and testing of military equipment and materials to foster a competitive environment within the EU and NATO. AOBP also organises educational and promotional activities to support the professional growth and visibility of its member companies.
