CLUTEX – the Cluster of Technical Textiles brings together leading Czech companies from the textile, chemical, engineering, and other related sectors. Textiles are a multidisciplinary field that combines knowledge of materials, physics, chemistry, and technologies. Technical textiles focus on enhancing key parameters such as strength, durability, and protective properties. CLUTEX and its members develop and supply high-performance textiles and products used in equipment for the army, police, rescue services, and the security sector – including ballistic and flame-retardant materials, camouflage fabrics, textiles resistant to chemical agents, intelligent systems for vital signs monitoring, antistatic and antibacterial finishes, as well as technical fillings and composite components. New directions also include wearables and integrated electronics for monitoring and communication. Cooperation with research institutions and industry partners is essential for the cluster.
